WASH, BRUSH, FLOSS AND FLUSH...

REMEMBER THE STORE I TOLD YOU ABOUT? THE ONE I WAS CONSIGNING SOME OF MY PAINTED FURNITURE/ART IN? WELLLL, IT'S BEEN FEATURED ON ANOTHER BLOG-WHICH IS SO COOL, BUT EVEN COOLER- MY "WASH,BRUSH,FLOSS AND FLUSH" SIGN HAS MADE IT ON AS WELL. I SAW A SIGN WITH THIS QUOTE ON IT AND HAD TO DO ONE MYSELF, UNFORTUNATELY I DO NOT REMEMBER WHERE I FOUND THIS ADORABLE SIGN IDEA :( BUT I MADE MY OWN AND CHANGED IT UP A BIT ANYWAY! SO STOP ON OVER TO "THE WEATHERED BUNGALOW" AND SEE ALL THE GREAT STUFF OVER THERE! IT WAS SO UNEXPECTED TO FIND MY ART ON SOMEONE ELSE'S BLOG LIKE THIS! I WAS JUST PERUSING FACEBOOK AND SAW THAT THE NEXT DOOR HAD PUT UP A LINK TO THE WEATHERED BUNGALOWS BLOG AND THE REST IS HISTORY! JUST THOUGHT IT WAS A FUN, EXCITING THING TO SHARE W/ ALL OF YOU WHO ARE SUCH GREAT SUPPORTERS/FOLLOWERS! GOD BLESS AND HAVE A GREAT DAY! {edited to add, this SOLD @ the NEXT DOOR!} YAY!

ROADSIDE TRASH TO CHIC TREASURE

Hi all, I hope you all had just a fabulous Christmas holiday! I sure did! We are truly blessed with wonderful family and we all stayed healthy thru x-mas! That's always a Christmas miracle when you have 3 school aged children! So TYG! so I know I've been missing in action for a while, I've had the bloggy blues. i don't know if this has happened to you, but I got to felling like no one was looking at my blog unless I linked up to every party in the blogosphere! But as of today, I've decided that my 77 followers are enough for me- I'm not going to stress about linking up to all the parties, that's not to say i won't link up, just that I won't stress about it everyday! I hope that those of you that already follow will continue to visit and tell your friends about my blog, if you like. And if i get a few more followers along the way that's great too! I am going to blog what I love and love what I blog! It's just another creative outlet for me and I hope I can inspire some people along the way. i want to thank all you that have been following me and my quest to paint every piece of furniture in my path as well as make a little money at it to contribute to the family finances.so w/o further adieu, let's get back to painting! Here is a little end table I picked up off of the side of the road, painted it gloss black and painted a little scrolly design onto. i painted the scroll design w/ cream and then low lighted it w/ a neutral tan. it's kinda hard to see in these pics, as most of you know my forte is not photography! She's in the store for sale now!

I'm Baaaack!!!!

hello friends! i'm back from a mini blog hiatus! i've just been so busy w/ getting moved in{to my booth} and painting and the goings on of everyday life, that i had to take a little break from the blog. but i'm back now and i have some pics to share w/ you of my booth in the store i just moved into! so far it's going great- i sold a sign my 2nd day and i love my co-workers and the owner of the store. it's been nothing but a pleasure and a blessing! tyG!!!! also, i will show you this dresser that i posted about earlier, that was on my to-do list! i got it off of craig's list for FREE!!!! it was dirty, smelly and was in need of some PAINT! but- it had these beautiful original carved knobs and a cute shape, so i was ready to take it on. i wanted a special blue color- that i didn't have...so i mixed up 4 colors i already had and wa-lah! i call it dusty peacock:). she's in the store now, waiting for a new home. my problem is , i want to keep everything i paint! but hubby puts a stop to that! he's very supportive of me/him dragging all my stray furniture home to paint and lovingly restore...as long as it leaves in a reasonable amount of time! well, that's all for now- but i promise not to be gone so long this time! i have some more craig's list finds to share w/ you! until then keep creating!!!
